The Press Release (PR): Press Releases are an invaluable part of any marketing plan. This is how you focus your story and get it out to the folks who make the news. Good PR can expand your audience reach without seriously impacting your budget.
The Press Kit: You make a press kit to make it as simple as possible for the media outlet you are targeting to understand the basic who, when, why, where and how. It should be online, and at a minimum provide a well written press release, appropriately sized images, captions, and links to recent media or awards.
The Advertising Plan: I'm not crazy about advertising. It's expensive and results are hard to measure. For this reason, when it's time to sign a contract I am a tough negotiator. I do have a strong grasp of the regional market (wnc), excellent design taste, and unusual concepts. I have produced award winning ad campaigns with minimal budgets.
Social Networking: Believe me, I understand how difficult it can be to keep up with the day to day needs of your business alone, never mind twitter. Like or not, social networking is here to stay.
